Henry County, Alabama

Henry County is a county on the southeastern border of the U.S. state of Alabama. As of the 2010 census, the population was 17,302.[1] The county seat is Abbeville.[2] The county was named for Patrick Henry (1736–1799), famous orator and Governor of Virginia.[3]

Henry County was founded on December 13, 1819.
