2023 Nottingham City Council election
The 2023 Nottingham City Council election took place on 4 May 2023, to elect all 55 members of Nottingham City Council in England. It took place as part of the 2023 United Kingdom local elections.

The previous election occurred in 2019, and resulted in the Labour Party retaining control with a majority of seats.[1] Both of the city council's previous two Conservatives left the party just ahead of the election to stand as independent candidates.[2]
Councillors standing down
21 councillors stood down at this election, including the expulsion from the Labour Party of Councillor Hassan Ahmed.[3]
